Music & Visual ArtsNew!
An awesome opportunity for young musicians and visual artists of all abilities to spend a week at Sky Lake singing, playing, painting, and creating all things music and visual arts related. Prior to arrival you’ll select whether your primary focus for the week will be on music or visual arts. Regardless of which you choose, you’ll get to reside, dine, deepen your faith, and enjoy down-time with other musicians and artists your age. For those who want to focus on music, you’ll be part of the acclaimed all-camp choir and opt to participate in the concert band, jazz band, handbell choir, and a small, vocal ensemble. For those who want to focus on visual arts, you’ll have full access to our “studio” to pursue drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, and bookbinding. The time and dedication you put into your creative endeavors throughout the week will be showcased in a concert and gallery show for family, friends, and the public on Friday, July 14 at 6:45pm on the East Shore.

Sky Lake Special Needs Camp
Everyone is special, but some of us also have special needs. Since 1968, Sky Lake has offered camping opportunities for persons with mild- to moderate-developmental and physical disabilities. We believe our natural surroundings at Sky Lake to be the handiwork of God and do our best to make the great outdoors accessible to all of our special needs campers, at a pace that allows them to fully appreciate it—after all, time at camp is vacation for many of our campers! Through all that we do we strive to provide our friends with special needs with a time and place in which they can experience a supportive, loving, and safe Christian community that honors, respects, and promotes each individual’s personhood. We offer two different sessions of our traditional Special Needs Camp. It’s a classic camp designed for persons with mild- to moderate-developmental disabilities needing minimal-to-no assistance with daily living skills. An average staff to camper ratio of 1:4 allows campers to enjoy outdoor life through such things as swimming, boating, hiking, singing, worship, crafts, cookouts, and daily camp responsibilities. We are unable to accommodate campers needing one-on-one care or constant direct-line-of-sight supervision. Independent toileting and mobility skills are required. Location: Riley Lodge & East Shore Cabins
Note: to ensure a safe and enjoyable Sky Lake experience we use an application process for our special needs camps, which is available for download here.

As an official bibliomaniac, you’ll be able to choose a club that will either allow you more time to devour books (figuratively, not literally, of course!); or dedicate time to working on writing your awesome contribution to the official Bibliomaniacs ‘Zine. You’ll spend another part of your day enjoying your choice of other favorite camp activities like games, waterfront time, creativity time, and more. Prior to arrival at camp, you’ll complete a special form that lets us know your preference of club and activities, which we then use to personalize a schedule just for you!
